- In a large pan over medium heat, add about 1 tbsp of olive oil. When the oil is simmering, add in the burger patties and cover with a lid. - 1 ⅓ pound ground turkey
- ¼ cup almond flour OR bread crumbs
- 1 egg
- 2 tsp cumin
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 jalapeno seeds removed and finely chopped
- ½ cup onion finely chopped
- 1 garlic clove minced, or 1 tsp garlic powder
- ⅓ cup sharp cheddar cheese
- 2 tbsp bbq sauce sugar free and natural if possible
Toppings
- Buns
- Cheddar cheese
- Lettuce, onion, tomato or spinach
Instructions
- In a large bowl, add the ground turkey, almond flour OR bread crumbs, egg, cumin, salt, diced jalapeño, onion, garlic and cheese. Gently mix everything together until combined.
- Form mixture into 5 burger patties.
- In a large skillet add 1 tbsp of olive oil. Once it is simmering, add in the burger patties and cover with a lid. Make sure you use a large enough pan so the burgers have room to cook.
- Cook for 4-5 minutes and then flip to cook the other side for another 4-5 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees.
