This cookie oatmeal is creamy, wholesome, and slightly sweet. It is naturally sweetened with a teaspoon of maple syrup and made creamy with a tablespoon of cream. The chocolate chips and cookies also add some sweetness. If you want to dial back the sweetness, omit the chocolate chips. What’s so great about overnight oats is that they are so versatile! One of the great things about overnight oats in general, is that they can be made in 5 minutes. Follow these 4 easy steps below to whip up cookie oatmeal!
STEP 1
Firstly, grab a mason jar or a small storage container. Either option works well!
STEP 2
Secondly, add all the ingredients in the jar except the cookie. Mix until smooth and combined.
STEP 3
Thirdly, put the lid on the mason jar and store them in the fridge overnight (or for 6 hours).

You may be wondering what the difference between is between whole oats and quick oats. Let’s take a minute to break them down.
Quick oats or instant oats are whole oats that have been processed down. But not processed in a bad, unhealthy way! They have simply been pre-cooked, dried and cut into small pieces so they take less time to cook! You can use them in this recipe if that’s what you have on hand.
Whole oats are simply harvested oats that are cleaned and flattened. They also work well in this recipe if thats what you have on hand!
