- Oat flour, finely ground
- Baking soda
- Egg
- Almond milk, or milk of choice
- Coconut oil, butter or light oil of choice
- Coconut sugar
- Lemon juice
Along with the obvious topping of pure maple syrup, here are a few toppings I love to add: bananas, blueberries, and peanut butter.

How to make the best oat flour waffles
Follow the below steps to whip up this oat flour recipe!
First, combine the dry and wet ingredients separately. Combine the oat flour and baking soda in a small bowl. And combine the egg, almond milk, coconut oil, coconut sugar and lemon juice in a medium bowl.
Next, pour the dry flour mixture into the wet ingredients. Fold the mixture just until combined. Let the batter sit while you heat up your waffle maker.
Now heat up your mini waffle maker. If needed, spray it with cooking spray so the waffles do not stick.
Finally, scoop the batter into to the waffle maker. This recipe makes 7 mini waffles.
In addition to serving your waffle with syrup, add some freshly sliced banana, berries and nut butter!

Oat Flour Waffles (Healthy, Gluten Free)
Ingredients
- 1 ¼ cup oat flour finely ground
- ¼ tsp baking soda
- 1 egg
- ¾ cup almond milk
- 3 tbsp coconut oil OR butter melted and cooled
- 2 tbsp coconut sugar
- 1 tsp lemon juice
Instructions
- In a small bowl add the oat flour and baking soda.
- In a medium bowl whisk together the egg, almond milk, coconut oil, coconut sugar and lemon juice. Whisk until fully combined.
- Now, pour the dry flour mixture into the wet ingredients and fold until combined. Set aside.
- Heat up your mini waffle maker. If needed, spray the waffle maker with cooking spray so the waffles don't stick.
- Once the waffle maker is ready, scoop the batter onto the waffle maker, about 1-2 spoonfuls. Repeat this process until all the batter is gone.
- Recipe makes 7 mini waffles. Top the waffles with syrup, bananas, fresh fruit and nut butter. Enjoy!
