Healthy Banana Bread Recipe (white whole wheat flour)
Equipment
- 5×9 or 5×10 loaf pan
Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups white whole wheat flour
- ¼ cup flaxseed meal
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- ½ tsp baking soda
- 2 eggs
- 1 ¼ cup mashed banana about 2-3 bananas
- ½ cup coconut sugar
- ⅓ cup oil light olive oil, canola oil, or coconut oil
- ⅓ cup plain greek yogurt
- ½ cup chocolate chips + more for sprinkling
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 5×9 or 5×10 loaf pan with cooking spray and line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
- In a large bowl add the eggs, mashed banana, coconut sugar, oil, and greek yogurt. Whisk until fully combined and smooth.
- Then fold in the dry flour ingredients: flour, flaxseed meal, cinnamon, and baking soda. Mix until combined. Mix in chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into your prepared loaf pan and sprinkle the top with chocolate chips if desired.
- Bake at 350 for about 35-45 minutes. Let the banana bread cool for about 10 minutes before removing it from the pan. Slice and enjoy!
