Peanut butter oatmeal ingredients
Here are the six ingredients we are working with:
Milk to soak the oats overnight. You can also use almond milk or another dairy free milk of your choice. We will be use 2/3 cup.
Powdered peanut butter, or you can use regular creamy peanut butter.
Maple syrup is a great all natural sweetener. We will be using 1 teaspoon. You can add up to 1 tablespoon for more sweetness.
A splash of vanilla extract to enhance all the flavors and give a little hint of vanilla.
Oats, of course! For this recipe we will be using 1/2 cup of oats.
Lastly, chia seeds. Chia seeds are a great addition to overnight oats because they add nutritional benefit as well as texture.

How to make
Follow these four simple steps to make peanut butter oatmeal.
STEP 1
Add the wet ingredients: In a mason jar, add the milk, powdered peanut butter, maple syrup and vanilla extract. Whisk vigorously until smooth and combined.
STEP 2
Add the dry ingredients: Now add in the oats and chia seeds. Mix until evenly combined.
STEP 3
Store overnight: Add a lid and place the oats in the fridge overnight.
STEP 4
Enjoy: Remove the oats from the fridge in the morning, add your desired toppings, and enjoy! (Topping ideas: bananas, peanuts, drizzle of peanut butter, fresh berries)
Additions and substitutes
Peanuts. A great addition to peanut butter oats are peanuts! For added crunch and texture add a tablespoon (or two!) of peanuts on top of your oatmeal.
Milk or almond milk. While this recipe calls for 2/3 cup of milk for super creamy oats, you can also use almond milk or another milk of your choice. Just please note using different types of milk can change with the flavor profile and creaminess of these oats.
Oats or quick oats. This recipe calls for 1/2 cup of oats. Feel free to use regular rolled oats or quick oats. Both options will work!
Drizzle of peanut butter. For extra peanut butter flavor, add a drizzle of creamy or chunky peanut butter on top of your oats (trust me you won’t regret it)!
