Ingredients in this strawberry smoothie
You only need 4 ingredients to make this recipe! Here are the ingredients we are working with.
Frozen strawberries are one of the main ingredients! Make sure to use frozen strawberries to ensure you get a chilled smoothie. Strawberries are packed with antioxidants, fiber and vitamins making them a healthy addition to this smoothie. They are loaded with vitamin C and they actually offer more vitamin C than some oranges.
Frozen banana. Along with the strawberries, bananas make up one of the base ingredients. Bananas are great in smoothies as they give creamy texture and flavor. Not only do they add texture but they are also a great source of carbohydrates and nutrients like potassium, vitamin B6, vitamin C.
Almond butter adds creaminess and flavor. It also helps to add thickness and creates a super smooth texture. Feel free to use another creamy nut butter! I have some other suggestions listed down below.
Milk adds protein and calcium. However, feel free to use any milk of choice! You can use regular cows milk, almond milk, or a dairy free milk alternative.
Lastly, vanilla protein! Adding protein into the mix makes them more wholesome and filling due to the added protein, vitamins and minerals. Feel free to use any of your favorite protein powders!
