<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Oats</strong> are the main ingredient. We will be using 1/2 cup. Oats are very nutritious grains that provide many health benefits. I have outlined some other benefits down below. </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Mashed banana</strong> is another main ingredient. Make sure to use slightly spotty bananas for increased flavor and sweetness. Also, it&#8217;s a great way to use up your extra ripe bananas. </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Chia seeds</strong> for added nutrition! They also help to add texture, </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Milk</strong> to soak the oat mixture overnight. You can use cows milk or any dairy free milk of your choice. Milk is key to making creamy oats. </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Plain greek yogurt</strong> adds texture, creaminess, and protein. Feel free to use any greek yogurt of your choice. </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size">Just a drizzle of<strong> honey</strong> for enhanced sweetness. Also, feel free to omit the honey if you don&#8217;t want added sweetness. </p>

And when morning rolls around you have a zero prep breakfast that is waiting for you in the fridge. This is especially key for those of you that have busy mornings when you&#8217;re trying to get out the door as quick as possible. </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size">Follow these few easy steps below to whip up this banana peanut butter oatmeal.  </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>STEP 1</strong></p>



<p class="has-large-font-size">Firstly, you&#8217;ll want to <strong>grab a wide mouth mason jar</strong> or any mason jar of choice. </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>STEP 2</strong></p>



<p class="has-large-font-size">Secondly, <strong>add the oats, mashed banana, chia seeds, milk, greek yogurt, honey, peanut butter in the jar.</strong> Mix with a spoon until smooth and combined.</p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>STEP 3</strong></p>



<p class="has-large-font-size">Lastly, <strong>put the lid on the mason jar and store the oats in the fridge overnight</strong> (or for 6 hours). When morning rolls around, <strong>remove the oats from the fridge and top them with freshly sliced banana.</strong></p>

<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Whole oats or quick oats.</strong> Either whole old fashioned oats or quick oats will work with this recipe. I have used and love both options! </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>All natural peanut butter. </strong>Make sure to use an all natural creamy peanut butter as it doesn&#8217;t have any added preservatives or sugar. Also, natural creamy butter can be oily so, make sure to give it a good stir. </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Milk or almond milk.</strong> To get extra creamy oatmeal definitely use milk. Cows milk, almond milk, oat milk, or any dairy free milk of choice works great. Please don&#8217;t use water!</p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Maple syrup</strong> <strong>or honey.</strong> Honey is the sweetener we are working with but you can also use maple syrup! Or you can omit the natural sweeteners all together. </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Greek yogurt.</strong> This recipe calls for two tablespoons of plain greek yogurt but feel free to use vanilla greek yogurt as well (just note this will add extra sweetness so I would omit the honey). Also, if you&#8217;re dairy free definitely substitute in your favorite dairy free yogurt. </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Nuts and seeds. </strong>For added crunch and flavor, add a tablespoon of your favorite nuts &#8211; like walnuts, peanuts, cashews or almonds (pro tip: walnuts and peanuts are a definitely crowd favorite when it comes to this recipe).</p>
