<p class="has-large-font-size">Overnight oats are just another way to enjoy oatmeal! Traditionally, oats are cooked on the stove top and served hot. But, overnight oats are soaked in liquid and stored in the fridge overnight. The overnight soaking process breaks down the oats making them very soft. Also, soaking the oats in milk or almond milk results in super creamy oats. </p>

<p class="has-large-font-size">You will need the below 7 ingredients to make blueberry overnight oats with lemon.</p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Oats</strong> are the main event, of course. You can use rolled oats or quick oats. Oats are a great source of whole grains, fiber, and carbs. </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Almond</strong> <strong>milk</strong> makes these oats very creamy. Feel free to use any milk of your choice (oat milk, almond milk, cows milk or any dairy free milk of choice).</p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Chia seeds</strong> add texture! When chia seeds are soaked in liquid they create a gel-like texture. They help create structure and texture in these oats. Chia seeds also add many nutrients like fiber and antioxidants. </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Maple syrup</strong> adds an all natural sweetness. We will using 1 teaspoon! Make sure to use pure maple syrup as it has no added chemicals or ingredients. </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Lemon juice</strong> for the lemon flavor. I recommend using freshly squeezed lemon juice! </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Lemon zest </strong>for extra lemon flavor and zing. </p>
