With six simple ingredients (plus toppings!) you can make these easy chocolate coconut oats. Since they are made with milk and coconut milk we can say bye-bye to boring watered down oats, and hello delicious and creamy chocolate oats!</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Ingredients in chocolate coconut overnight oats</h2>



<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Oats</strong> are the main ingredient. For this recipe you will need 1/2 cup. Feel free to use whole rolled oats, gluten free oats, or quick oats. Just make sure to use 1/2 cup!</p>



<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Cocoa powder</strong> for rich chocolate flavor. For this recipe you will need 1 tablespoon. Cocoa powder can be very bitter in flavor so we will be adding a little sweetness to cut the bitterness. </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph">Next up, <strong>milk</strong>! This recipe calls for 1/2 cup of milk. You can use cows milk, almond milk, or any dairy free milk of your choice. </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph">A splash of <strong>coconut milk</strong> for coconut flavor. You only need 2 tablespoons of coconut milk for this recipe. </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Maple syrup</strong> for added all natural sweetness. Pure maple syrup adds sweetness and pairs nicely with the cocoa powder to give a rich chocolate flavor. </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Chia seeds</strong> add texture and nutrition. When chia seeds are soaked in liquid they create a gel-like texture! </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph">Lastly, <strong>toppings!</strong> Toppings are always a must when it comes to oatmeal. Here are a few favorites: <em>shredded coconut, chocolate chips, fresh berries, banana, nuts </em>and<em> seeds. </em></p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">How to make chocolate coconut oatmeal</h2>



<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph">Just follow these four simple steps below.</p>



<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph"><strong>STEP 1</strong></p>



<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph"><strong>In a mason jar, add all the oatmeal ingredients: </strong><em>oats, cocoa powder, milk, coconut milk, maple syrup and chia seeds.</em></p>



<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph"><strong>STEP 2</strong></p>



<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Mix to combine.</strong> Mix until the cocoa powder is incorporated. </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph"><strong>STEP 3</strong></p>



<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Store in the fridge overnight. </strong>Add a lid and store the jar in the fridge overnight. </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph"><strong>STEP 4</strong></p>



<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Add desired toppings, and enjoy!</strong> Remove the oats from the fridge and add shredded coconut, chocolate chips, fresh berries and banana. </p>
