<p class="has-large-font-size">Going to sleep at night you&#8217;ll feel great knowing that you have a make ahead breakfast ready for you in the morning. Also, you can double or triple the recipe so you have breakfast ready to go for a few mornings! </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size">This cookie oatmeal is creamy, wholesome, and slightly sweet. It is naturally sweetened with a teaspoon of maple syrup and made creamy with a tablespoon of cream. The chocolate chips and cookies also add some sweetness. If you want to dial back the sweetness, omit the chocolate chips. What&#8217;s so great about overnight oats is that they are so versatile! <p class="has-large-font-size">Firstly, <strong>grab a mason jar or a small storage container.</strong> Either option works well!</p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>STEP 2</strong></p>



<p class="has-large-font-size">Secondly, <strong>add all the ingredients in the jar</strong> <strong>except the cookie.</strong> Mix until smooth and combined.</p>

<p class="has-large-font-size">Thirdly, <strong>put the lid on the mason jar and store them in the fridge overnight</strong> (or for 6 hours). </p>

<p class="has-large-font-size">Cookies and cream overnight oats take just a few minutes to make and require 6 hours of chilling time in the fridge. Simply mix all the ingredients together in a mason jar (besides the cookie) and set the jar in the fridge overnight. Top with the cookie in the morning and enjoy!</p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>How long do overnight oats last?</strong></p>



<p class="has-large-font-size">While overnight oats are best when enjoyed the next morning. They can be stored for 3 days without getting too soggy. Because of this, they make a great meal prep breakfast. You can make three servings at the beginning of the week and enjoy them for breakfast during the week. </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Are whole grain oats gluten free?</strong></p>



<p class="has-large-font-size">Regular oats have the possibility to be cross contaminated with wheat products so, it&#8217;s best to buy certified gluten free oats. </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>What type of oats are best for overnight oats?</strong></p>



<p class="has-large-font-size">For overnight oats you can use quick oats or regular rolled oats. I have used both and they both result in nicely textured creamy overnight oats. I do not recommend using steel cut overnight oats. </p>

<p class="has-large-font-size">You may be wondering what the difference between is between whole oats and quick oats. Let&#8217;s take a minute to break them down. </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Quick oats or instant oats</strong> are whole oats that have been processed down. But not processed in a bad, unhealthy way! They have simply been pre-cooked, dried and cut into small pieces so they take less time to cook! You can use them in this recipe if that&#8217;s what you have on hand.</p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Whole oats</strong> are simply harvested oats that are cleaned and flattened. They also work well in this recipe if thats what you have on hand!</p>
