<p class="has-normal-font-size">You will need the below ingredients to make these homemade granola bars.</p>



<ul class="has-normal-font-size wp-block-list"><li><strong>oats: </strong>Oats are one of the main ingredients in these power bars.  Oats are a great source of whole grains and add fiber to these bars. </li></ul>



<ul class="has-normal-font-size wp-block-list"><li><strong>almonds</strong>: Almonds are one of my favorite nuts to use while baking. For this recipe we will use 1 cup!</li></ul>



<ul class="has-normal-font-size wp-block-list"><li><strong>hemp hearts</strong>: Hemp hearts add a nutty and crunchy taste to these bars. If you don&#8217;t want to use hemp seeds, feel free to substitute in equal parts almonds (or any other seed).</li></ul>

Feel free to use honey if you prefer.</li></ul>

For this recipe, I used refined coconut oil so they don&#8217;t have a strong coconut taste or smell.</li></ul>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="how-to-make-these-homemade-granola-bars">How to make these homemade granola bars </h2>



<p class="has-normal-font-size"><strong>Firstly, line an 8&#215;8 pan with parchment paper.</strong> Leave parchment paper hanging over the side. This will make it super easy to remove the bars from the pan when they are done. </p>



<p class="has-normal-font-size"><strong>Add the dry ingredients to a large bowl.</strong> Add the oats, almonds, hemp hearts, chia seeds, pumpkin seeds, and sunflower seeds to a high speed blender. Pulse the mixture a few times to give the nuts and oats a light chop. Pour into a large bowl. </p>



<p class="has-normal-font-size"><strong>Now grab the wet ingredients.</strong> In a small pot over medium/low heat, add the peanut butter, maple syrup, coconut oil, vanilla and salt. Mix for about 2 minutes until melted, smooth, and combined. </p>



<p class="has-normal-font-size"><strong>Combine. </strong>Pour the wet peanut butter mixture over the dry oat mixture. Mix until combined and press the mixture into your prepared 8&#215;8 pan in an even layer. </p>



<p class="has-normal-font-size"><strong>Freeze or refrigerate.</strong> Place your pan in the freezer for at least 2 hours. I like to leave mine in the fridge or freezer over night! </p>



<p class="has-normal-font-size"><strong>Make the chocolate drizzle.</strong> Melt the chocolate chips and coconut oil in the microwave. </p>



<p class="has-normal-font-size"><strong>Enjoy! </strong>Finally, once the bars have chilled, remove them from the pan using the parchment paper. Slice into 12 bars and drizzle with chocolate. </p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="how-to-store-these-homemade-healthy-granola-bars">How to store these homemade healthy granola bars</h2>



<p class="has-normal-font-size">You can store these homemade healthy granola bars in your fridge for up to a week or keep them in the in the freezer for up to a month. </p>



<p class="has-normal-font-size">If you keep them in the freezer, simply let them sit out at room temperature for a couple of minutes. I like storing and eating my bars straight from the freezer. </p>
