<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph">I&#8217;m all for one pot recipes for minimal mess and clean up. While this one pot lasagna has a few steps, it&#8217;s quite easy to make! I&#8217;ve outlined how to make it step-by-step below. </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph">What&#8217;s great about this recipe is that it makes the best cozy dinner with added veggies but it is also great for meal prepping. I have actually been making this on Sundays and I separate it into 5 containers in the fridge. It has made the perfect grab and go lunch for Peter to take to work!  </p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Ingredients in this lasagna skillet</h2>



<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Ricotta </strong>and <strong>mozzarella cheese</strong> are the two cheeses we are working with. </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Egg </strong>binds together with the ricotta cheese</p>



<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Ground beef</strong> is the main protein source. </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph">These <strong>seasonings</strong> are added to the beef: <em>dried basil, dried oregano, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, fresh garlic, salt and pepper</em></p>



<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Green bell pepper</strong>, <strong>carrots</strong> and <strong>yellow onion</strong> are the three veggies we will be adding into the skillet.</p>



<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph">Pick your favorite <strong>pasta sauce</strong> to accompany this dish!</p>



<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph">Lastly, <strong>oven ready lasagna noodles</strong> make this recipe quick and easy to bake. </p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">How to make</h2>



<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph"><strong>STEP 1</strong></p>



<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph">Firstly, preheat your oven to 375 degrees. And grab a large 12 inch cast iron skillet.</p>



<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph"><strong>STEP 2</strong></p>



<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph">Next, add a tablespoon of olive oil and sauté the diced carrots and onion for about 3-4 minutes. Now add the ground beef, seasonings, and garlic and cook 2-3 more minutes. Now add the green bell pepper. Continue to cook until the beef is browned and cooked through.</p>



<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph"><strong>STEP 3</strong></p>



<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph">With a slotted spoon, remove the meat and veggie mix from the skillet and place it on a plate. Drain the extra grease. </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph"><strong>STEP 4</strong></p>



<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph">Now make the ricotta mixture in a medium bowl. Add the container of ricotta, egg and oregano and mix until combined and smooth. Set aside.</p>



<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph"><strong>STEP 5</strong></p>



<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph">Now we will start to layer the lasagna. Pour a ladle full or a thin layer of sauce on the bottom of the skillet. Lay 2 oven ready lasagna noodles on top of the sauce to form the first layer. You can break some noodles to fill the the rest of the circle. Add spoonfuls of ricotta on top of the noodles and spread it smooth. Now add a layer of the beef and veggie mixture. And a thin layer of mozzarella on top.</p>



<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph"><strong>STEP 6</strong></p>



<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph">Repeat the same steps as above: add a layer of sauce on top of the mozzarella, add the noodles ricotta, beef and mozzarella.</p>



<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph"><strong>STEP 7</strong></p>



<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph">Repeat these steps one more time. </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph"><strong>STEP 8</strong></p>



<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph">To top things off, add one layer of noodles on top, the rest of the sauce, and remaining mozzarella.</p>



<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph"><strong>STEP 9</strong></p>



<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph">Lastly, bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes. Let it cool for about 5-10 minutes before slicing. Enjoy!</p>
