<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph"><strong>They are a wholesome breakfast option.</strong> Oats are a nutritious whole grain loaded with vitamins and antioxidants. They are also rich in fiber which can help to keep you full until lunch time!</p>



<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Oats are a great source of resistant starches.</strong> Resistant starches are great for your gut and provide numerous health benefits. </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Oatmeal has soluble fiber.</strong> Soluble fiber is great for your gut, can help keep you regular (lol seriously!) and improve digestion. </p>

<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph">Another great thing about oatmeal and peanut butter is that it’s so versatile. It creates a great base for a wide variety of toppings. These 4 recipes all have similar base ingredients like oats, milk and peanut butter. What makes each recipe unique is the flavor profile and added special ingredients. Let&#8217;s break down the main base ingredients: </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Oats </strong>are the main event and necessary for overnight oats, duh! For a majority of these recipes you can use whole rolled oats or quick oats. For one of the recipes we will be using steel cut oats. </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph">To get creamy overnight oats we will be using <strong>milk.</strong> Please don’t use water as it won&#8217;t create a creamy texture! Here are a few milk options you can use: <strong>cows milk, almond milk, oat milk, or any dairy free milk of choice</strong>. </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Peanut butter</strong> is another necessary item for peanut butter overnight oats, lol. You can use creamy or crunchy peanut butter but make sure you use an all natural kind! All natural peanut butter will have one or two ingredients; peanuts and salt. Processed nut butters can have added chemicals, sugars and preservatives. </p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">How to make peanut butter overnight oats</h2>



<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph">Overnight oats can be prepared in 5 minutes. Yup, only 5 minutes! The longest part is letting the oats chill in the fridge for about 4-6 hours or overnight. Please note that these steps will vary depending on which flavor of oats you make. Overall, they all follow pretty similar steps. </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph"><strong>STEP 1</strong></p>



<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph">Firstly, you&#8217;ll want to <strong>grab a mason jar</strong> <strong>with a lid</strong>. Wide mouth mason jars work best. </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph"><strong>STEP 2</strong></p>



<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph">Secondly, <strong>add all the ingredients in the jar and mix well.</strong></p>

<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph">Thirdly, <strong>put the lid on the mason jar and store the oats in the fridge overnight</strong>. Oats are best when enjoyed within 2-3 days. </p>

<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Cocoa powder</strong> adds the deep and rich chocolate flavor. We will be adding 1 tablespoon.</p>



<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Chia seeds</strong> add so many nutrients. They also create a nice gel-like texture in combination with the oats.</p>



<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Peanuts</strong> add extra crunch and pair perfectly with the creamy peanut butter! You can omit the peanuts if you use crunchy peanut butter. </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Maple syrup</strong> adds a hint of sweetness and cuts the bitterness from the cocoa powder. I recommend using all natural maple syrup as it doesn’t have any added ingredients or preservatives.</p>



<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph">Natural creamy <strong>peanut butter</strong> or chunky peanut butter will work! Make sure you use natural creamy peanut butter as other peanut butters tend to have added sugar and chemicals. </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph">Lastly, <strong>milk</strong> helps the oats soften and soak the oats overnight. For this recipe you can use cows milk, almond milk, oat milk, or any dairy free milk of choice.</p>
