If you have quick oats, peanut butter, flaxseed meal, pure maple syrup, chocolate chips and vanilla extract, you’re good to go! This recipe takes five minutes to make and can be stored in the fridge all week long. </p>

<ul class="has-large-font-size wp-block-list"><li><strong>Quick oats</strong> are just another form of oatmeal. They go through further processing to be cut down in size. This makes them smaller and easier to cook! They work best in this recipe because they blend nicely with the peanut butter. </li></ul>



<ul class="has-large-font-size wp-block-list"><li><strong>Natural creamy peanut butter</strong> is a must! Make sure to give your peanut butter a good stir as natural nut butter can be very oily. </li></ul>



<ul class="has-large-font-size wp-block-list"><li><strong>Flax seed meal</strong> is a great addition because it adds so much nutrition and you don&#8217;t even taste it. </li></ul>



<ul class="has-large-font-size wp-block-list"><li><strong>Pure maple syrup</strong> to sweeten things up. Pure maple syrup is a great all natural, non processed sweetener. Feel free to use honey instead!</li></ul>



<ul class="has-large-font-size wp-block-list"><li><strong>Mini chocolate chips</strong> to top things off! Mini chocolate chips blend very easily. Feel free to use regular chocolate chips but please note it may be a little more difficult to roll the mixture into a ball. </li></ul>



<ul class="has-large-font-size wp-block-list"><li><strong>Vanilla extract</strong> to enhance all the flavors. We will be adding just a splash! Feel free to omit if you don&#8217;t have any on hand. </li></ul>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">How to make</h2>



<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph">I have outlined three easy steps on how to make these peanut butter oatmeal balls below!</p>



<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph"><strong>STEP 1</strong></p>



<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph">Grab a medium to large bowl and add the oats, peanut butter, flax seed meal, maple syrup, mini chocolate chips, and vanilla extract. </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph"><strong>STEP 2</strong></p>



<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph">Using a firm spatula or a spoon, mix until all the ingredients are well combined and a &#8216;dough-like&#8217; mixture has formed. </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph"><strong>STEP 3</strong></p>



<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph">Now using a spoon or your hands, grab a tablespoon size of the oat mixture and roll it into a ball. Repeat until the oat mixture is gone. Recipe should make around 15 peanut butter oatmeal balls. Enjoy!</p>

Some brands of peanut butter can be loaded with chemicals and preservatives so that&#8217;s why natural peanut butter is best. Since they last for the whole week, make a batch on Sunday and enjoy them for an easy snack all week long. </p>

<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph">What’s great about this recipe is that it requires minimal ingredients and a few simple steps. Also, they are super versatile! If you don’t have chocolate chips, no problem! Use can use raisins or chopped nuts instead. If you love cashew butter use that instead of peanut butter. The list goes on! Here are a few other substitute ideas below. </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Nut butter.</strong> Feel free to use any nut butter of your choice. Almond butter, sunflower seed butter, cashew butter, etc are all great choices. But please note that using different nut butters will change the flavor profile.</p>



<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Maple syrup.</strong> Instead of pure maple syrup, feel free to use honey. </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Chocolate chips.</strong> If chocolate isn&#8217;t your thing, feel free to omit them all together. You can also add raisins or chopped nuts as they are both great add in options. </p>
