<p style="font-size:16px">I love my burgers loaded with toppings: <em>onions, tomato, lettuce, cheese etc.</em> Trust me, I&#8217;m a beef burger girl but there are always times where I am <em>really </em>just craving a thick and flavorful veggie burger. And this veggie burger is just that!</p>



<p style="font-size:16px">This white bean veggie burger is loaded with white beans, rice, veggies and spices. You&#8217;ll love them because they are so easy to make and taste absolutely delicious. </p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="ingredients-in-white-bean-veggie-burgers">Ingredients in white bean veggie burgers</h2>



<p style="font-size:16px">You will need the below ingredients to make these white bean veggie burgers. </p>



<p style="font-size:16px"><strong>Cannellini beans</strong>: You will need one 15 oz can of white beans. <em>They will be the base for these burgers. </em></p>



<p style="font-size:16px"><strong>Rice</strong>: We will be using 3/4 cup of cooked rice!<em> You can use white or brown rice, whatever you prefer. </em></p>



<p style="font-size:16px"><em><strong>Carrots</strong>: </em>Shredded carrots are an added veggie in these burgers. <em>We will be using 1/2 cup. </em></p>



<p style="font-size:16px"><strong><a href="https://www.amazon.com/Anthonys-Organic-Cashews-Unsalted-Gluten/dp/B076TFF3QP/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&amp;keywords=raw+cashews&amp;qid=1628201842&amp;s=grocery&amp;sr=1-5">Raw cashews</a></strong>: Cashews add a slight crunch and flavor.<em> We will boil the cashews and chop them up finely before mixing them into the burgers. </em></p>



<p style="font-size:16px"><strong><a href="https://www.amazon.com/Anthonys-Organic-Gluten-Irradiated-Finely/dp/B0898N89VV/ref=sr_1_4?dchild=1&amp;keywords=oat+flour&amp;qid=1628201742&amp;s=grocery&amp;sr=1-4">Oat flour</a> (or bread crumbs</strong>): Oat flour will help hold everything together<em>. You will need 1/2 cup</em>. </p>



<p style="font-size:16px"><strong>Spices:</strong> We will be using a number of dried spices<em> (chili powder, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, oregano and salt</em>).</p>



<p style="font-size:16px"><strong>Flax seed meal and water</strong>: Finally, we will be combining flax seed meal and w<em>ater to create a &#8216;flax egg.&#8217; This will help bind all the ingredients together. </em></p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="key-steps-for-making-the-best-veggie-burger-recipe">Key steps for making the best veggie burger recipe</h2>



<p style="font-size:16px">There are a few steps that are key for making the best veggie burger recipe. </p>



<p style="font-size:16px"><strong>First key step:</strong> Mash the beans with a fork! Mash about 2/3 of the beans using a fork. You want to leave some whole otherwise the burgers will be too mushy. </p>



<p style="font-size:16px"><strong>Second key step:</strong> Boil the <a href="https://www.amazon.com/Anthonys-Organic-Cashews-Unsalted-Gluten/dp/B076TFF3QP/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&amp;keywords=raw+cashews&amp;qid=1628201842&amp;s=grocery&amp;sr=1-5">raw cashews</a> for 10 minutes. The cashews add flavor and crunch to these burger. And boiling them makes them super easy to chop and mix into the burgers. </p>



<p style="font-size:16px"><strong>Third key step: </strong>Add the flax seed meal and water to a small bowl. This mixture will create a &#8216;flax egg&#8217; which will help bind all the ingredients together. And it acts as an egg replacement!</p>



<p style="font-size:16px"><strong>Last key step:</strong> Use a 1/2 measuring cup to form the patties. This is key! Grab your measuring cup, pack in the veggie burger mixture and shape it into a patty. Repeat this process for 5 patties. </p>

Boil your cashews for 10 minutes. Let them cool and then finely chop them up.
