Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins (Easy, Whole Wheat)

Banana chocolate chip muffins are my favorite way to use up all my brown bananas. These muffins are moist, loaded with banana and chocolate flavor, and are so easy to make.

Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup granulated sugar or coconut sugar
  • cup light oil
  • ¼ cup plain greek yogurt
  • 1 ½ cup mashed banana
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cup white whole wheat flour
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¾-1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 425 degrees and grease a muffin tin.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the egg and the granulated sugar until smooth. About 30 seconds. Then add in oil, greek yogurt, banana and vanilla. Whisk until combined and smooth.
  • Now fold in the dry ingredients: flour, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Mix until combined.
  • Now fold in the chocolate chips. Scoop the batter into 12 muffin tins.
  • Bake at 425 for 5 minutes then at 350 for 15 minutes.
  • Let the muffins cool and enjoy!
