Strawberry Overnight Oats (with cream, easy breakfast)

Strawberry overnight oats are the perfect make-ahead breakfast. They have a splash of cream for extra creaminess and good measure. With a few simple ingredients and 5 minutes of preparation time you can have your own strawberries and cream overnight oats! Also they can also be made gluten free by using certified gluten free oats.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup oats or gluten free oats
  • ¾ cup milk almond milk or milk alternatives of choice
  • ¼ cup strawberry greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp cream or half and half
  • 1 tbsp sliced almonds
  • 1 tbsp flax seed meal
  • 2 strawberries chopped

Instructions

  • Grab a mason jar or small container with a lid.
  • Add all the ingredients in the jar except for the strawberries. Mix until all the ingredients are combined.
  • Now sprinkle the strawberries on top.
  • Put on the lid and store in the fridge overnight.
  • Remove from the fridge in the morning and enjoy!
  • I find the oats best when enjoyed the next morning. But you can store them in the fridge for 2-3 days. If you are meal prepping these oats, wait to add the fresh strawberries until the night before or morning of to ensure the strawberries don't get soggy.
