- White whole wheat flour is the main flour in this recipe. It is rich in fiber and whole grains. We will use 2 cups!
- Baking soda will help puff up these cookies. We will add 1/2 tsp.
- Just add a pinch of salt, 1/2 tsp.
- Maple syrup is used as one of the sweeteners in this recipe. Maple syrup will add sweetness, moisture and chewiness. I love this kind from Amazon.
- Coconut sugar adds the perfect amount of sweetness to these cookies. We will use 1/2 cup.
- Coconut oil or butter is used as the fat in this recipe. I have used both!
- Almond milk will add some liquid in this recipe. We will use 1/4 cup.
- Vanilla extract helps enhance the flavor in these cookies.
- Lastly, will add 1 cup of chocolate chips.
How to make the best vegan cookies
Firstly, grab a large bowl and add in all the wet ingredients: maple syrup, coconut sugar, coconut oil, almond milk and vanilla. Whisk together until smooth.
Secondly, will add in the dry ingredients: white whole wheat flour, baking soda and salt. Then fold in the chocolate chips.
Thirdly, place the bowl in the fridge to chill batter for 1 hour or more. Don’t skip this step!
Lastly, preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Scoop 24 cookies onto two baking sheets and bake for 10-14 minutes. Enjoy!
Dairy free chocolate chip cookies
These cookies can be made dairy free with a few simple substitutes.
- Use vegan butter or coconut oil instead of real butter.
- Instead of cows milk, use almond milk or oat milk.

Ingredients
- 2 cups white whole wheat flour
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ cup maple syrup
- ½ cup coconut sugar
- ½ cup coconut oil or butter melted and cooled
- ¼ cup almond milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- In a large bowl add the maple syrup, coconut sugar, coconut oil, almond milk and vanilla. Whisk until combined.
- Fold in the flour, baking soda and salt. Fold until just combined.
- Now fold in the chocolate chips.
- Place the bowl in the fridge to chill batter for 1 hour or more. Don't skip this step!
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Using a cookie scoop, scoop 24 cookies and arrange them evenly onto 2 baking sheets.
- Bake at 350 for 10-14 minutes. Let them cool and enjoy!
