The large flat surface makes it so easy to whip up a batch of pancakes. Typically, you can fit about four pancakes at a time. </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size">Also, a <strong>large <a href="https://www.amazon.com/Flexible-Silicone-Resistant-Flipping-Certified/dp/B073P2Y69T/ref=sr_1_7?crid=1BIUPJR3WJU1Q&amp;keywords=spatula&amp;qid=1646358128&amp;sprefix=spatula%2Caps%2C90&amp;sr=8-7">spatula</a></strong> is key! It makes it super easy to flip the pancakes while they are cooking.</p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>A large mixing bowl</strong> is necessary to mix all the ingredients together.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Tip for making perfect pancakes</h2>



<p class="has-large-font-size">Here are a few tips to ensure you make delicious fluffy pancakes!</p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Firstly,</strong> <strong>don&#8217;t over mix. </strong>Some clumps in the batter are ok! </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Secondly, let the batter sit.</strong> Letting the batter sit will result in lighter and fluffier pancakes. I like to let my batter sit while I heat up the pancake pan. </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Grease your pan with butter, cooking spray, or oil</strong>! This will ensure the outsides of your pancakes have a light crisp! I like using butter or a little bit of refined coconut oil. </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Let the eggs come to room temperature. </strong>This will allow the egg to mix nicely into the batter. Also, it won&#8217;t solidify the melted butter. If you forget this step, let your eggs sit in a bowl of warm water for ten minutes. </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Lastly</strong>, <strong>warm the milk.</strong> Slightly warm the milk in the microwave for 15-20 second so it doesn&#8217;t solidify the melted butter. Or let it sit out a room temperature for ten minutes or so. </p>

<p class="has-large-font-size">What&#8217;s so great about pancakes is that they only require a few simple steps and ingredients that you probably have on hand. And they can be made in under 20 minutes! Just follow the few steps below to whip up this recipe. </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Whisk the wet ingredients.</strong> In a large bowl whisk the egg, milk, butter and vanilla. Whisk until smooth and combined.</p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Fold in the dry ingredients</strong>: flour, sugar and baking powder. Don&#8217;t over mix! Some clumps in the batter are ok! </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Let the batter sit. </strong>This step is key to fluffy pancakes! While your pancake pan heats up you can let you batter sit for about five minutes (the next step).</p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Preheat the pan.</strong> Preheat your pan on the stove over medium/low heat. And grease the pan with cooking spray, butter or oil. Adding butter or oil makes for crispy outsides!</p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Cook.</strong> You will likely have to cook in batches unless you have a large cook top! Flip the pancakes when the top starts to bubble and the bottom is a golden brown. Repeat until all the batter is gone.</p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Lastly,</strong> <strong>enjoy!</strong> Add all the toppings and enjoy!</p>

<p class="has-large-font-size">Serve these whole wheat pancakes straight from the griddle and add your favorite toppings. Here are a few of my favorites below!</p>



<ul class="has-large-font-size wp-block-list"><li><strong>Fresh Berries</strong>. You can&#8217;t go wrong with some fresh blueberries, strawberries or blackberries.</li><li><strong>Banana</strong>. Freshly sliced banana always pairs nicely with pancakes!</li><li><strong>Maple Syrup</strong>. Mmmm! Add some some sweetness with <a href="https://www.amazon.com/Butternut-Mountain-Farm-Vermont-Natural/dp/B002483SRI/ref=sr_1_4?dchild=1&amp;keywords=maple+syrup&amp;qid=1628278582&amp;s=grocery&amp;sr=1-4">pure maple syrup</a>. I like using pure maple syrup as it doesn&#8217;t have any added ingredients or preservatives. </li><li><strong>Butter</strong>. Add a sliver of butter on top and let it melt into the pancakes. This is totally optional but definitely recommend!</li><li><strong>Peanut Butter</strong>. Any peanut butter lovers out there? Spread some peanut butter or any nut butter you like on top!</li></ul>

<p class="has-large-font-size">If you have left over pancakes, store them in an airtight container in the fridge for 2-3 days. You can reheat them in the microwave until they warmed to your liking. And since they can be reheated they make the best meal prep breakfast! You can make a batch at the beginning of the week and reheat them for breakfast. </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size">You can also freeze these pancakes! Simply freeze them in a freezer friendly container. I recommend putting pieces of parchment paper in between each pancake so they don&#8217;t stick together. You can thaw them at room temperature or defrost them in the microwave. </p>
