<p class="has-large-font-size">You need the ingredients below to make this peanut butter and jelly granola</p>

<li><strong>Corn chex: </strong>For this recipe you can use any chex cereal you like. I used corn chex! Rice chex are a great option as well. </li>

<li><strong>Rolled oats</strong>: You will need 2 cups of whole oats. Oats are a great source of whole grains and fiber.</li>
</ul>

<li><strong>Peanuts</strong>: Peanuts add the perfect crunch in this granola. I use roasted and salted peanuts but you can use any peanuts you like!</li>
</ul>

<li><strong>Raisins and dried cranberries</strong>: This recipe calls for a combination of raisins and dried cranberries. You can use both or one or the other. Just use a total of 1 1/2 cups.</li>
</ul>

<li><strong>Flax seed meal</strong>: Adding flax seed meal to granola is always a great idea. It is neutral in taste and adds great nutritional value.</li>

<li><strong>Creamy peanut butter</strong>: Creamy peanut butter is a must! For this recipe you&#8217;ll use 3/4 cup of natural creamy peanut butter. Make sure you give your peanut butter a good stir before measuring because natural peanut butter tends to be very oily.</li>

<p class="has-large-font-size">Yes! While this recipe calls for corn chex feel free to use another cereal you like. Rice chex are another great option! You could also use another corn based cereal. </p>

<p class="has-large-font-size">Yes, the jelly adds additional sweetness and flavor but you can omit it from this recipe. </p>

<p class="has-large-font-size">I recommend using a natural creamy peanut butter for this recipe. Natural peanut butter is typically made with one or two ingredients: peanuts and salt. Other peanut butters can have added ingredients and preservatives. </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>What type of jelly can I use?</strong></p>



<p class="has-large-font-size">I recommend using a natural jelly with minimal ingredients. A jelly should be made of fruit and sugar. Try to avoid jellies that have high fructose corn syrup. </p>

Granola makes a great filling snack and will satisfy your afternoon or after dinner hunger cravings. To switch things up from classic and traditional granola, you&#8217;ll want to enjoy this unique peanut butter and jelly granola recipe. The addition of chex cereal gives this granola an awesome crunch but you still have the oats and dried fruit like traditional granola.  </p>

<p class="has-large-font-size">I have broken down the steps on how to make this granola below. </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Preheat your oven to 300 degrees</strong> and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.</p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Add all your dry ingredients to a large bowl.</strong> Mix until combined.</p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Whisk together all the wet ingredients</strong> in a medium bowl until fully combined.</p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients</strong> and mix to combine.</p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Pour the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet</strong> and pat it down in a flat layer.</p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Bake for 20 minutes. </strong>Turn off the oven and leave the pan in the oven to fully cool.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="how-to-make-this-easy-granola-recipe">How to make this easy granola recipe</h2>



<p class="has-large-font-size">Meal prepping granola at the beginning of the week is such a great idea so you always an easy snacks on hand. What&#8217;s so great about this simple granola recipe is that it is so easy to make. </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Firstly combine all the dry ingredients in a large bowl:</strong> Oats, walnuts, dried cranberries, coconut, chocolate chips, flax seed, coconut sugar, cinnamon and salt. </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Secondly, in small bowl whisk together all the wet ingredients:</strong> Maple syrup, melted coconut oil and vanilla. Make sure your maple syrup is room temperature so it doesn&#8217;t solidify the coconut oil. Or you can microwave the maple syrup and coconut oil together for 10-15 seconds. </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Now pour the wet ingredients into the bowl with the dry ingredients. </strong>Fold the mixture until all the dry ingredients are coated. </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>And then pour the granola onto a large baking sheet lined with parchment paper.</strong> </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Bake at 300 for 18 minutes. </strong>Turn the oven off but leave the granola in the oven for an hour. Remove the granola from the oven and let it sit for another hour or so until it fully cools. </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Finally, once the granola is fully cooled, break it into clusters and enjoy!</strong></p>

<p class="has-large-font-size">Here are a few fun ways to serve this granola. Get creative because it&#8217;s so versatile!</p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Serve this granola on its own. </strong>It makes a fun, easy, and crunchy snack. </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Add some greek yogurt.</strong> Grab a bowl, add some greek yogurt (a combination of plain and vanilla is my fav!) and sprinkle some granola on top. </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Drizzle nut butter on top. </strong>To add some flavor and healthy fats, drizzle some almond butter or peanut butter on top of your servings. </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Add it to trail mix. </strong>To make a whole trail mix, add in some granola! In a small baggy add peanuts, walnuts, cashews and raisins, and then add a serving of granola. </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Sprinkle on top of smoothies (another personal favorite).</strong> Smoothies and granola is such a great combo. Make your favorite smoothie (or try this <a href="https://braesbites.com/strawberry-banana-smoothie-5-ingredients/"><strong>Strawberry Banana Smoothie</strong></a> or this <a href="https://braesbites.com/blueberry-smoothie-with-banana-easy/"><strong>Blueberry Smoothie</strong></a>) and sprinkle some granola on top!</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Variations and substitutes</h2>



<p class="has-large-font-size">If you don&#8217;t have one of the ingredients in this recipe, don&#8217;t worry! I have provided a few recipe variation and substitutes down below. Granola is so versatile and you can really tailor it to you liking. </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Maple syrup or honey</strong>. While this recipe uses maple syrup to coat the oats. However, feel free to use honey as a 1:1 swap instead.</p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Nuts.</strong> This recipe calls for 1 cup of walnuts. However, if you don&#8217;t have walnuts, simply use cashews, almonds or peanuts.</p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Coconut sugar or white sugar</strong>. This recipe calls for 1/4 cup of coconut sugar but feel free to use white sugar or brown sugar instead.</p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Oil. </strong>This recipe uses refined coconut oil (along with maple syrup) to coat the granola. Refined coconut oil is neutral in taste and smell so it&#8217;s a great option. But you can use <strong>melted butter</strong> or <strong>regular coconut oil </strong>instead. If you use regular coconut oil please note the granola will have a strong coconut flavor.</p>

<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Coconut sugar or white sugar</strong>. This recipe calls for 1/4 cup of coconut sugar but feel free to use white sugar or brown sugar. </p>
