<p class="has-large-font-size">Yes! Blanched almond flour is key. Along with the oat flour, you want your almond flour to be finely ground. Blanched almond flour typically has a fine texture which makes it great for baked goods. </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Can I make these cookies in advance?</strong><br>Yes, follow the instructions below. Once the cookies have fully cooled, store them in an airtight container in the fridge for 1-2 days. </p>

<p class="has-large-font-size">Definitely! As mentioned, just make sure it is very finely ground. The texture should resemble regular white flour. <p class="has-large-font-size">You will need the 8 below ingredients to whip up these oat flour chocolate chip cookies!</p>

<li><strong>White sugar</strong>, <em>or coconut sugar</em> can be used to sweeten these cookies</li>
</ul>

<li><strong>Butter</strong> is the baking fat. Feel free to use coconut oil as well.</li>
</ul>



<ul class="has-large-font-size wp-block-list">
<li><strong>Egg</strong> acts the binding agents and holds all the ingredients together.</li>
</ul>



<ul class="has-large-font-size wp-block-list">
<li><strong>Vanilla</strong> <strong>extract</strong> really helps enhance the flavors. </li>
</ul>

<li><strong>Oat flour</strong> is the main flour ingredient. </li>

<li><strong>Baking soda</strong> is the leavening agent.</li>

<li>Just a pinch of <strong>salt</strong> to enhance the flavors.</li>

<li>Lastly, <strong>chocolate chips</strong> are a must!</li>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="how-to-make-this-recipe">How to make this recipe</h2>



<p class="has-large-font-size">Making cookies should be an enjoyable process. That&#8217;s why I have outlined below how to make these easy chocolate chip cookies. </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>STEP 1</strong></p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Whisk the butter and sugar</strong> in a large bowl until fully combined. Then <strong>add in egg and vanilla.</strong> Continue to mix or whisk until very smooth</p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>STEP 2</strong></p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Add the dry ingredients</strong>: oat flour, baking soda and salt into the wet mixture. Fold until combined and then fold in the chocolate chips.</p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>STEP 3</strong></p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Chill for the dough in the fridge for 1-2 hours.</strong></p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>STEP 4</strong></p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Preheat your oven to 350 degrees</strong>. And line two baking sheets with parchment paper.</p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>STEP 5</strong></p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Roll 18 cookie dough balls</strong> and place them on two baking sheets lined with parchment paper. <strong>Bake at 350</strong> for 12-15 minutes and <strong>enjoy!</strong></p>

<p class="has-large-font-size">If you haven&#8217;t baked with oat flour before, it&#8217;s pretty simple! It replaces regular flour in baked goods but, it is not a 1:1 replacement. So you have to be mindful when it comes to new recipes! Oat flour is much lighter in weight than traditional flour. So, you typically have to use more oat flour than regular flour if you&#8217;re replacing it in a recipe.</p>



<p class="has-large-font-size">As for the baking results with oat flour, it produces really nicely textured baked goods. Another added benefit of oats is that they are loaded with whole grains, fiber and complex carbs!</p>

You want to make sure it resembles a flour-like texture when it&#8217;s done. This will ensure your baked goods have great results! Grainy oat flour can result in bad textured baked goods.</p>

<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Coconut sugar</strong> and <strong>maple syrup</strong> are the two sweeteners we are working with. They both add an all natural sweetness. </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Butter</strong> and <strong>avocado oil</strong> are the two baking fats used in this recipe. The combination of these two ingredients work really well together. </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size">One <strong>egg</strong> to help bind all the ingredients together.</p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Vanilla extract</strong> will enhance the flavors.</p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Oats</strong> and <strong>oat flour</strong> are the two main flour ingredients! Make sure to use very fine ground oat flour as it creates nicely textured baked goods. </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size">A hint of <strong>cinnamon</strong> to enhance the flavor! </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Baking soda</strong> helps puff up these cookies.</p>



<p class="has-large-font-size">Just a pinch<strong> </strong>of <strong>salt</strong>! We will be using 1/4 teaspoon. </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size">Lastly,<strong> chocolate chips</strong>! The best part! Chocolate chips are always a good idea when it comes to cookies. </p>

<p class="has-large-font-size">Below I have outlined how to make these easy avocado cookies. With a few simple steps and a few simple ingredients, you can have yourself a batch!</p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>STEP 1</strong></p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Preheat your oven to 350 degrees</strong>. And line two cookie sheets with parchment paper.</p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>STEP 2</strong></p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Add the wet ingredients.&nbsp;</strong>Start off by creaming together the coconut sugar, maple syrup, butter, and avocado oil in a large bowl. Use a hand mixture and cream until smooth. Then add in the egg and vanilla.  </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>STEP 3</strong></p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Add in the dry ingredients.</strong>&nbsp;Add in the oats, oat flour, cinnamon, baking soda and salt. Continue to mix.</p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>STEP 4</strong></p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Fold in the chocolate</strong>. Use a spoon or spatula and fold in the chocolate chips.</p>

<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Scoop 18 cookies</strong>. Use a cookie scoop or a spoon and scoop the cookies onto the baking sheets.</p>

<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Bake!</strong>&nbsp;Bake the cookies for 12-13 minutes. Let them cool and then enjoy!</p>

<p class="has-large-font-size">Firstly, they are made from <strong>oats</strong> and <strong>oat flour.</strong> Oats are a great source of whole grains and fiber. They are a very nutritious grain and a great source of carbohydrates. They have a great nutritional profile that can contribute to your overall health. </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Avocado oil </strong>is a neutral baking oil that is high in oleic acid. Oleic acid is an unsaturated fat, which is considered a healthy fat. Unsaturated fats can play a number of beneficial roles that can contribute to your overall health.</p>

<p class="has-large-font-size">Find some substitutes and variations for these cookies below.</p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Oat flour</strong>. There are so many great store bought bags of oat flour. If your local grocery store doesn&#8217;t have oat flour offerings, Amazon has so many options! Make sure you buy fine ground oat flour as it is the best before baking. You can also make homemade oat flour by blending whole oats in a high speed blender. You want to blend them until they form into a very fine flour.</p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Chocolate chips.</strong> For this recipe you can use any chocolate chips you prefer. Dark chocolate or milk chocolate chips work best! But if you&#8217;re feeling like switching things up, use white chocolate!</p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Butter and oil. </strong>This avocado cookie recipes uses 1/4 cup of butter and 1/4 cup of avocado oil as the baking fats. If for some reason you don&#8217;t have these on hand, you can use a combination of coconut oil or another light oil. Just make sure it is a total of 1/2 cup.</p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Pure maple syrup.</strong> This recipe uses a bit of all natural maple syrup but you can also use honey!</p>
