<p class="has-large-font-size">Overnight oats are just another way to make oatmeal. You&#8217;re probably used to oats served warm from the stove. Which is how I am use to eating them too (cooked on the stove top in milk or water and served warmed)! But, overnight oats are made using a non-cook process. Overnight oats are soaked in milk and stored in the fridge overnight. The overnight soaking process breaks down the oats making them very soft and enjoyable. </p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Ingredients in pumpkin overnight oats</h2>



<p class="has-large-font-size">You&#8217;ll need these eight ingredients to make this recipe.</p>



<ul class="has-large-font-size wp-block-list"><li><strong>Oats</strong> are the main event. We will be using 1/2 cup. </li></ul>



<ul class="has-large-font-size wp-block-list"><li><strong>Milk</strong> or almond milk will help soak the oats. </li></ul>



<ul class="has-large-font-size wp-block-list"><li><strong>Canned pumpkin</strong> for pumpkin and fall flavor. </li></ul>



<ul class="has-large-font-size wp-block-list"><li><strong>Vanilla greek yogurt</strong> for extra creaminess and sweet flavor. </li></ul>



<ul class="has-large-font-size wp-block-list"><li><strong>Chia seeds</strong> are vitamin packed seeds. They add texture to these oats. </li></ul>



<ul class="has-large-font-size wp-block-list"><li><strong>Pumpkin seeds</strong>, <em>or walnuts</em> add crunch and flavor</li></ul>

<p class="has-large-font-size">Firstly, you&#8217;ll want to <strong>grab your mason jar</strong> <strong>with a lid</strong>. Wide mouth mason jars work best! I use 16oz wide mouth mason jar.</p>

<p class="has-large-font-size">Secondly, <strong>add all the ingredients in the jar and mix well.</strong></p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>STEP 3</strong></p>



<p class="has-large-font-size">Thirdly, <strong>put the lid on your jar and store the oats in the fridge overnight</strong>. These oats are best when enjoyed within 1-2 days. </p>

<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Remove the oats from the fridge in the morning and</strong> <strong>enjoy! </strong></p>

<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Whole oats or quick oats.</strong> For these overnight oats, you can use whole old fashioned oats or quick oats. I have used both options! </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Milk or almond milk.</strong> To get extra creamy overnight oats you&#8217;ll definitely want to use milk. Cows milk, almond milk, oat milk, cashew milk, or any milk of choice works great.</p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Maple syrup</strong> <strong>or honey.</strong> These oats have a splash of added sweetness. You can use maple syrup and honey! Maple syrup is the sweetener we are working with but you can also use honey. </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Greek yogurt.</strong> This recipe calls for two tablespoons of vanilla greek yogurt. If you don&#8217;t have vanilla you can definitely use full flat plain greek yogurt. Also, if you&#8217;re dairy free just substitute in your favorite dairy free vanilla or plain yogurt. </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>Nuts and seeds. </strong>For added crunch and flavor, this recipe calls for pumpkin seeds and walnuts. However, add a tablespoon or two of your favorite nuts &#8211; like peanuts, cashews or almonds.</p>
