It can also help with digestion! Adding it into the recipe works well because you don&#8217;t even taste it. </li><li>A bit of <strong>cinnamon</strong> to add some spice and flavor. </li><li><strong>Baking soda</strong> helps this bread rise and puff up. </li><li>Just a pinch of <strong>salt!</strong></li></ul>

<p class="has-large-font-size">Firstly, it is made from both <strong>whole wheat flour</strong> and <strong>white flour.</strong> Whole wheat flour offers a wide variety of benefits. It&#8217;s packed with whole grains, protein, fiber, vitamins, proteins, and minerals.</p>



<p class="has-large-font-size">Secondly, it is sweetened with <strong>pure maple syrup</strong>. Pure maple syrup is a great all natural sweetener.</p>



<p class="has-large-font-size">Thirdly, it has <strong>one full cup + more of shredded zucchini</strong>! Bananas are rich in nutrients and fiber.</p>



<p class="has-large-font-size">Lastly, this recipe uses a mixture of <strong>applesauce</strong> and <strong>oil</strong> as the fat. Using applesauce instead of oil works really well when it comes to muffins and quick breads. Cutting back on the oil helps lighten up this recipe and still provides a delicious outcome. </p>

<p class="has-large-font-size">I broke down this recipe into five easy steps. Follow the few simple steps below and you&#8217;ll have yourself a delicious chocolate chip zucchini bread. </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>STEP 1</strong></p>



<p class="has-large-font-size">Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and grease a loaf pan. I use 8&#215;4 or 9&#215;4. You can also line your loaf pan with parchment paper. </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>STEP 2</strong></p>



<p class="has-large-font-size">In a large bowl, add all the dry ingredients. Mix until combined and set aside. </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>STEP 3</strong></p>



<p class="has-large-font-size">Now shred the zucchini using a grater. Now, using a thin cloth or paper towel, squeeze out excess moisture from the zucchini. </p>



<p class="has-large-font-size"><strong>STEP 4</strong></p>



<p class="has-large-font-size">Next, in another large bowl add the wet ingredients (besides the chocolate chips) and whisk until smooth. Now add the dry ingredients into the bowl with the wet ingredients. Using a spoon or spatula fold the mixture until combined. Now fold in the chocolate chips. </p>

<p class="has-large-font-size">Lastly, add the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake at 350 for 45-55 minutes or until fully cooked through.</p>
