Best Apple Turkey Burgers (with fig jam and cheddar)
Apple turkey burgers are a fun twist on traditional burgers. They are loaded with shredded apples, spices and topped with cheddar cheese and fig jam.

- 1 ⅓ pound ground turkey, 93/7
- ¼ cup blanched almond flour or bread crumbs
- 1 large egg
- 2 tsp dried thyme if you aren't a huge fan of thyme use ½ to 1 tsp
- 1 tsp EACH: salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder
- 1 small/medium apple fugi, shredded
- Cheddar cheese
- Seeded buns
- Fig jam optional, but recommended!
Add the ground turkey, almond flour, egg and seasonings to a large bowl.
Using a grater, shred the apple. Add the shredded apple to the large bowl with the other ingredients.
Using your hands, combine all the ingredients together just until combined.
Form the mixture into 5 patties.
In a large skillet or pan add 1 tbsp of olive oil. Once it is simmering, add in the patties and cover with a lid. Cook for 4-5 minutes and then flip to cook the other side for another 4-5 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees.
Toast your burger buns and prepare your burgers by topping them with cheddar cheese and fig jam. Enjoy!
